Chaka Patterson is the former general counsel of Adtalem. He currently is a partner at Alston & Bird. While working as general counsel at Adtalem, his responsibilities included overseeing day-to-day operations of the legal department as well as providing advice and counsel to clients in the areas of commercial, corporate governance, IP, labor and employment, litigation, M&A, real estate, regulatory and compliance, and securities. His education includes an A.B. in political science and government from Amherst College, an MBA in finance and economics from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a Doctor of Law from Harvard Law School.
