Spanning a little over an hour, our first lunch and learn was a huge success! The beautiful facilities at Georgia State University College of Law were perfectly situated for an easy setup.

The panelists, former Justices Hon. Robert P. Young Jr. and Hon. Leah Ward Sears shared their insights on the value of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). The former Chief Justices and Alterity ADR mediators and arbitrators shared their impressive background stories and provided the students with advice on becoming lawyers and successful mediators. The students asked thought-provoking questions about alternative dispute resolution in the U.S., particularly as it pertains to core competency and the volume of cases given the general preference for litigation in the U.S.

The inspiring questions from the students generated an exciting conversation that carried the discussion to the end of the hour-long program. We had a great time organizing this event, and we look forward to facilitating the next lunch & learn in the coming months!
