Biography

Victoria Platzer served as a Circuit Court Judge for over 18 years in Miami, FL. As a Judge, she presided over hundreds of jury and non-jury trials, many with complex legal issues. Since leaving the bench in 2013, she has mediated and arbitrated thousands of cases to resolution. Judge Platzer has handled a range of complex matters involving commercial, employment, insurance, family, real estate, medical malpractice and personal injury law. Her evaluative style of mediation allows the parties and their lawyers to make settlement decisions having fully considered the strengths and weaknesses of their case, and the risk of proceeding to trial. Her experience as a jurist ensures the parties are afforded the same professionalism, diligence and integrity for which she was highly regarded as a Judge.
