In over 31 years of practice J.R. Hanks has handled more than 1000 lawsuits involving a wide variety of matters including wrongful death, serious bodily injury, negligent security, premises liability, automobile accidents, construction defects, environmental torts, product liability, defamation, copyright infringement, insurance coverage, and commercial disputes. He has tried cases on behalf of defendants and plaintiffs at every level of state court in Georgia, the U.S. District Courts, and in numerous arbitrations. He has successfully argued cases in front of the Georgia appellate courts, the Mississippi Supreme Court, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
J.R.’s clients have included Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, and individuals. He serves as regional tender counsel for one of the thirty largest corporations in America. He has had the pleasure of representing the State of Georgia as a Special Assistant Attorney General.
