Arbitrator | Mediator

Lori Adelson has built a reputation as a skilled and knowledgeable professional mediator, supported by more than 20 years of experience litigating employment, civil rights, labor, consumer, and business law disputes. As the founding member of Approved Mediation in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Ms. Adelson is a versatile conflict management professional and an expert in employment dispute resolution matters She has worked with an array of clients, including individuals, attorneys, businesses, organizations, and the public sector.

Ms. Adelson strives to help people engage constructively in all phases of the conflict process — from pre-litigation through appeal. Her broad understanding of the concerns of those on both sides of the table makes her adept at bringing resolution even to hostile and litigious situations. She offers litigation avoidance solutions  and employs mediation, arbitration, and risk mitigation to navigate and resolve disputes successfully.

A knack for creative thinking and neutral fact-finding has helped forge Ms. Adelson’s proven track record of resolution. Her goal is to preserve parties’ freedom and autonomy while giving them peace of mind and the fair solutions they need to successfully move on. She believes effective mediation and arbitration offer benefits that aren’t possible in court, which she summarizes as the “four C’s” — confidentiality, cost-effectiveness, certainty, and closure.
