Biography

Robert (Bob) Manne has been a practicing attorney in the State of Florida since 1977. Bob has been certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Mediator since 1995 and has been an Arbitrator for over 25 years. During that time he has mediated more than 500 cases and has arbitrated in excess of 100 cases. The ADR services he has provided over the years have primarily been in the area of construction, technology and commercial/business disputes, and litigation.

For almost 20 years, Bob was a partner in Becker & Poliakoff, a large international Law Firm based in Florida, where his primary areas of practice were construction law, real estate law, and commercial litigation.

In 1990, he helped found The Ultimate Software Group Inc. (now renamed UKG) a payroll/HR record-keeping technology company. Ultimate Software provided its payroll/HR record-keeping services to in excess of 6,000 large companies Including high-profile companies such as Google and was one of the first Software-as-a-Service/ Cloud Technology Companies. It regularly won awards as one of the best companies in America to work for. Bob was General Counsel of Ultimate Software from its inception when it had only a few employees until its sale to a private equity firm in 2019 for $11 Billion, at which time it had in excess of 5,000 employees, During most of that time period, Ultimate was a large public company on the NASDAQ exchange. In addition to being responsible for all of Ultimate’s legal matters, Bob managed its domestic and international real estate operations, its sales administration, and the Company’s privacy, risk, and compliance activities.

In addition to practicing law and arbitrating and mediating disputes, he is also currently an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Miami Law School and Brooklyn Law School. He is the Founder and Director of the Manne Family Foundation, a philanthropic entity that provides support to numerous organizations which assist the disadvantaged and underserved members of the South Florida community. He is currently on the Board of Directors of Hope South Florida, a non-profit organization that provides support for the homeless in Broward County, Florida.

His other recent charitable activities include being on the American Heart Association, Cycle Nation Event Committee, and supporting a local inner-city High School basketball program.
