STANLEY SANTIRE

International Arbitrator | Mediator

Biography

Stanley Santire calls upon four decades of experience in construction and employment litigation to seek fair, expeditious results in mediations and arbitrations.

After serving as a line officer in the U.S. Navy, Stanley started his legal practice in construction litigation. From there, he was retained as the chief legal counsel for Lockheed Aircraft International, AG, where he represented the company in a broad range of matters, including the mediation and arbitration of international disputes; structured joint ventures; guided compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act; negotiated contracts; and provided counseling in transactions involving the laws and business practices of various countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Greece, Iraq, Japan, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. His management of disputes in Europe and the Middle East earned him recognition as the Outstanding Executive of the Year.

A frequent speaker and author, Stanley’s primary areas of focus include:

  • Construction, including mechanic’s and materialman’s liens, liability, delay clauses, and trade secrets and restrictive covenants
  • Employment, including harassment, reasonable accommodation and the Americans with Disabilities Act, non-competes and more

Stanley continues to hone his ADR skills with extensive ongoing mediation training. He has earned certificates from, among others, the A.A. White Dispute Resolution Center, the Attorney-Mediators Institute, Advanced Transformative Mediation, Texas A&M University Family Mediation Training, and the Association of Attorney Mediators. He is a credentialed advanced mediator through the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association, and he is a volunteer mediator for Harris County Dispute Resolution Center. He also serves as chair of the Houston Bar Association ADR Council.
